Clermont is a well-known French photographer of the nude, who was active in the 1950-60s. He worked both in color and black and white. He published two books of female nude photography, "Tropical Beauty", published by Prisma Book in Paris in 1962 (also London and Los Angeles) and "Nus Antillais", again by Les Editions Prisma, Paris ,1967. He is listed in the Auer and Auer database. There is one small spot of retouched emulsion loss just to the left of the artwork woman's shoe. With a Bievres photo club gold sticker on the recto of the print at the very bottom right. Also a Bievres photo club label with the photographer's name and title on the verso of the mount.
