An early printing of this image. Title is in ink in script below image on the mount. The photographer's credit is scratched into the negative. Scowen & Co., a British photography studio, worked primarily out of Ceylon from the 1860s through the 1870s. See: 19th Century Photographic Art: Masterpieces of International Photography, pl.91.
