Rudolf Franz Lehnert (13 July 1878 – 16 January 1948) was born in Gross Aupa, Bohemia (now Velká Úpa, Czech Republic) and raised in Vienna, and Ernst Heinrich Landrock (4 August 1878 – 30 April 30 1966) was born in Reinsdorf, Saxony, Germany. They founded Lehnert & Landrock photographic studio specializing in images of North African people, landscapes, and architecture.They were on grand tour in Africa when they decided to open the studio in Tunis in 1904. In 1919, they founded the Kunst Verlag in Leipzig and, in 1924, opened a studio in Cairo.Photographer's unique stamp on lower left of image.
