About This Image

A very rare (perhaps unique) and important print from Le Gray's earliest period of paper prints. Most such prints are in institutions. Very few are in private hands. This image is not listed at the Médiathèque de l'architecture et du patrimoine, Paris. Provenance: Family of the photographer, Henry Le Secq.
