Caption booklet (12pp.) loosely inserted, as issued (it is often missing). Conceived and composed by Tériade (and simultaneously published in France by Éditions Verve); plates printed by Draeger Frères. The binding design, an elaborate and classic cut-out composition by Matisse, was made especially for the work. Interior is clean and unmarked. Boards a little darkened as usual, hinges slightly frayed, upper right corner of cover slightly dinged; dust jacket as usual missing (one fly page included), but still a very presentable copy of a very collectible book.
