| Description: Lustrum, New York, 1983. First edition. Quarto in wraps. Very good with some creases from reading at front cover and spine and minor light sunning, but with little other wear. Signed by the photographer on the half title. Continuing the autobiography started in "Tulsa", according to Clark he "merged all the lives together and become one of the characters in Tulsa." According to Vince Aletti in "Roth", there was a tentative agreement to have the book published by Aperture, but the deal fell through because they refused to publish some of the photographs, no doubt, due to the graphic nature of same. Clark then designed and published the book himself with Ralph Gibson's Lustrum Press, who published "Tulsa". See: Roth, "The Book of 101 Books", pages 244-245. Shipping and insurance costs will be added to the price and must be paid for by the buyer. Pennsylvania and New York buyers must pay appropriate sales tax. International clients are responsible for their VAT and other custom's oriented charges. |
