Has been reglazed with UV acrylic, but the original glass is also still available. Tibbitts' panoramic work has sold for over $35,000 at auction. His studio was based in San Francisco. Tibbitts was known for his photographs of Western landscapes, including a few large panoramas, such as this one of the iconic Mount Shasta. A fair amount of Tibbitts' work is published in "Sunset" magazine. According to the Museum of New Mexico, Photographic Archives, he died in 1937. His work can be found in the collections of the Tempe Department of Archives & Manuscripts/ASU; the Berkeley Bancroft Library; the Santa Fe Museum of New Mexico-Photographic Archives; the Heard Museum Library and Archives; the California Historical Society; San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park; and the Holt-Atherton Department of Special Collections.
