| Description: An envelope that came with the group of negatives reads: "The moon 11:25 pm, 4 Oct. 1879 3 inch enlargement from 7/10 inch negative taken on a Swan plate in 2 sec. with a 10 inch (S.G.) Reflector made by me that year. The motion was followed by clepshyduce (sp.?). E. H. Livling, Holywell Hall, Durham."
