| Description: On a loose album page with two contemporary newspaper accounts from the London Times of the comet. Although the comet was named the Great September Comet, it grew in intensity for five weeks. The date on this photograph is October 28, 1882. The photograph is rather spectacular and rare with its view of shadowy rooftops framing the bottom of the picture of the comet, which dominates the dark sky. Shipping and insurance costs will be added to the price and must be paid for by the buyer. Pennsylvania and New York buyers must pay appropriate sales tax. International clients are responsible for their VAT and other custom's oriented charges. |
