Durham was an amateur photographer and doctor who took microscopic images in the 1870s, but was also active in the 1880s. His address in 1877 was on Brook Street, London. He seemed to focus on botanical specimens, particularly wood. He was a member of the Photographic Society of Great Britain, and exhibited in the society's 1877 and 1884 salons.
