More teenages shouting to prevent Wallace from making his speech at Winston-Salem. Although police were stationed among the crowd, they didn't try to prevent the uproar. Generally, wherever adequate police protection had been provided by the town, the meetings went off orderly and quietly. But whenever the local police chief took an unfriendly or hands-off attitute, the Dixiecrats and their young flase (sp.?) fronts began to show their hand."
