| Description: Probably a copy print of an early daguerreotype with extensive and well done period retouching. Arthur Paronneau Hayne was born in Charleston, NC in 1790 and died in 1867. He was a U.S. Senator from North Carolina from 1858-1859. He was later made a judge. His brother was Robert T. Hayne, who died in 1839. Information on the verso in Meserve's hand. Provenance: Ex-F.H.
