| Description: The famous monastery, La Certosa di Pavia, is among the most sumptous art monuments of Italy, featuring superb architecture, beautiful stained glass artistically decorated, precious stones and marbles. The innumerable masterpieces of sculpture and painting make it one of the most important art museums in Italy today. Paper labels on inside cover of the original album that this image came from read "Antonio Marquez y Ramirez, Encuadernador, Genoa 57, Sevilla" (possible a bookseller); and ex-libris lables originally belonging to Duque de Montpensier and later, Antoine d'Orleans. The print has great tones, but some very light spotting in the sky area. Shipping and insurance costs will be added to the price and must be paid for by the buyer. Pennsylvania and New York buyers must pay appropriate sales tax. International clients are responsible for their VAT and other custom's oriented charges. |
