Description:

The translation of the title is: "Structure Covered with Sand--Architrave, Column Shafts and Capitals, Esna (Latopolis)." This is a print that was made outside of the normal H. de Fonteny edition, probably for Teynard himself or for an assistant, and hence very rare. Title in French in pencil on recto of mount. See: Howe, Felix Teynard, Calotypes of Egypt, p.40-41, pl.71; Greenough, Snyder, Travis and Westerbeck, On the Art of Fixing A Shadow: One Hundred and Fifty Years of Photography, pl.43.

Shipping and insurance costs will be added to the price and must be paid for by the buyer. Pennsylvania buyers must pay appropriate local sales tax. International clients are responsible for their VAT and other custom's oriented charges.
