Description:
With "Nadar jeune" stamp photo and negative number reversed out of photo, and a title in ink on the recto of the mount in German (Cow of the Race in Normandy). A very rich print. Commonly referred to as a varnished salt print, it is technically made by vernis-cuir, a process in which a paper is coated with layers of gelatin and tannin, giving it a thick high gloss like that of varnished leather. Tournachon often used the process and stamped these prints with his mark, "Nadar j[eu}ne."
Shipping and insurance costs will be added to the price and must be paid for by the buyer. Pennsylvania buyers must pay appropriate local sales tax. International clients are responsible for their VAT and other custom's oriented charges.
