Signed on the recto of the mount in black ink. 1934 date on print has been erased. The photographer's Euclid Avenue, Berkeley, California stamp is on the verso, and may have been stamped later. Only three prints of this image, including its variant, are known and only two are signed and vintage. This is probably the print exhibited in the Willard Van Dyke Gallery exhibition in 1934 of Lange's work. Provenance: photographer's estate; Edwynn Houk; Stephen Daiter personal collection.
