With the photographer's red inked signature and publisher Theophile Marx's blindstamp on the mount. Marx has written in the title and negative number (22) in mauve ink on the recto of the mount. Marx, a friend of J.J.Heilmann, published the work of Heilmann, Maxwell Lyte, Stewart, Langlume and Denisse. He worked out of Pau and popularized the work of these Pyrennees photographers.
