A very rare image taken from inside the fort. India specialist Hugh Raynor has told me that he has never seen this view before. The view of artillery men manning batteries in the fort has a backdrop of about a dozen sailing ships in the harbor. Titled and dated in ink on the mount below the image. The image was found in an album of Bourne and Shepherd images.
