Description:

The Four Sergents (Boris, Goubin, Pommier and Raoulx) were guillotinized in Paris in 1822. Their great courage initiated a liberal campaign and they became legendary. They became symbols of the anti-monarchist feelings of the French people. The photographer's stamp, negative number (70482) and title in blue pencil are on the verso of the print. There is an interesting view of the Four Sergeants and in the mirror the bar owner behind his bar. See: Robert Doisneau: Paris (Flammarion 2005), p.121.

Shipping and insurance costs will be added to the price and must be paid for by the buyer. Pennsylvania buyers must pay appropriate local sales tax. International clients are responsible for their VAT and other custom's oriented charges.
