Both the original source in Marsailles and the fact that the Lumiere label was put inside the glass instead of the normal position out the glass tend to confirm that this image was by the Lumiere studio. Dechavannes, Paris, Depose (registration mark for the passe-partout itself). The pass-partout is 8 x 6-3/8 inches. The Lumiere studio often used these pass-partouts for their work, although not exclusively.
