(83 x 108 mm) Photo Country: Canada Photographer Country: Canada Description: This image, which shows two daguerreotype cameras, lens, head stand and bizarre numbered board against daguerreian-style painted backdrop, came about originally from a request by Hallmark Cards for a special exhibit on modern daguerreotypes. The commission requested still-lifes in the style of Dubosc-Soleil in quarter plate size. The images were titled: Astronomy, Physics, Botany, Autopsy, Literature and Photography. This image was then later recreated by the photographer in stereo format in an edition of three similar but each uniquely different images. Signed in the plate of the right image.
