| Description: The photograph is signed on the verso in pencil. James L. Dillon and Company was one of the oldest photography studios in Philadelphia--well over 100 years old. James L. Dillon's son Theodore entered the business in the mid-1920s and later took over the company after his father died in the 1930s. Eisenman, a graduate of Antonelli's School of Photography, began an apprenticeship with Theodore Dillon in 1945. Upon Dillon's retirement in 1968, Eisenman took over the commercial studio. Shipping and insurance costs will be added to the price and must be paid for by the buyer. Pennsylvania and New York buyers must pay appropriate sales tax. International clients are responsible for their VAT and other custom's oriented charges. |
