Jack Welpot - Sabine, Summer, Arles, France |
The female body had long been used for artistic inspiration. From classic Greek sculpture to photography, artists have explored sensuality.
The photographers represented in this nude photography portfolio range from the very well known (Laure Albin-Guillot, Ferenc Berko, Germaine Krull, Jeanloup Sieff, Clarence White, Albert Rudomine, William H. Mortensen, Jack Welpott and Frantisek Drtikol) to up-and-coming contemporary artists (Michael Philip Manheim, Claudia Kunin, Paul Cava and DavidJohn Lotto) to anonymous or nearly unknown creators.
The one thing that unites all of these artists is their creativity in approaching a subject that has been portrayed almost more than any other. In my opinion, the fine art nude photography featured here can be favorably compared to any art of the nude--be it painting, print or photography. |
