| Description: During the Arts and Techniques Exhibit, the Eiffel Tower held celebrations with fireworks and special lighting effects. Photographer stamp on verso. Most roughly 10 x 7 in. or slightly larger; one is 6-1/2 x 4-3/4 in. Henri Baranger was an architectural and industrial photographer based in Paris from the 1920s. His photographs are in the collections of the Ministere des Beaux-Arts and the Musee Carnavelet in Paris. During this Exhibit, the architect André Grasset created the largest chandelier in the world to hang under the first platform.10 kilometers of multicolored fluorescent tubes connected to 30 navy projectors aimed at the sky, bathe the tower in white light specked with blue and red flashes.
