Description:

The church and place are titled in French in pencil on the recto of the mount of a matching print (see: Ref. #6564). Mieusement was from this area and the style and subject are very much his. This church was built in the 12th and 13th century. It is located on the right bank of the Loire in Blois. It belonged to the old bénédictine abbey St. Laumer, from which much of the Loire derives its somber traditional building style. The proportions of the nave are inspired by Chartres cathedral. Blois was actually the capital of France before it was moved to Paris.

Shipping and insurance costs will be added to the price and must be paid for by the buyer. Pennsylvania buyers must pay appropriate local sales tax. International clients are responsible for their VAT and other custom's oriented charges.
