Image of firemen lifting one of their brethren from the rubble of a building. Cole won a 1979 Pulitzer Prize for his photograph of traffic stalled in the blizzard of 1978 during the Rams-New England Game. He also won numerous other awards including the Moe Fineberg Award in 1975. He worked for the Boston Herald American in the 1970s. His work is in several collections, including Northeastern University's Library and Archives.
