Man sitting by a cart on tree-lined road. THE print of the album this image came from. From the 1858 "Le Bois de Boulogne" Series. Transitional albumen print. There were also later prints made of this series in the late 1860s. The images from this series are extremely rare and are found primarily in French institutions, notably the Bibliotheque Historique de la Ville de Paris (for negatives) and the Bibliotheque Nationale and Musee Carnavalet. No more than four or five prints are known to exist.
