About This Image

Title and information in pencil on recto of mount: "Vue de Temple de Philoe prife par derrière, matin (Nubie)". This is the Grand Temple of Isis at Philoe, Egypt, taken from the rear and in the morning, according to the inscription. This print was apparently made by Du Camp himself and the inscription was made by Du Camp or one of his assistants. Unlike the less rare Du Camp prints by Blanquart Evrard or even those by Alfred LeNormand or Gustave Le Gray, these prints likely made by Du Camp's own hand are apparently unique proof copies. The color is considerably different than the other prints. The image was made on April 13, 1850.

Most U.S. domestic Fed Ex ground shipping (Media Mail for books) is free of charge except for larger and heavier items, or unless the buyer wants express shipping (email us your requests for the latter). International shipping and insurance costs will be added to the price and must be paid for by the buyer. Pennsylvania buyers must pay appropriate local sales tax. International clients are responsible for their local customs duties and taxes, which will be charged by Fed Ex, which will contact the client prior to delivery.
