About This Exhibit

Beach Blanket Bingo, Coney Island
By Marthe Smith
Fun on the beach, ice cream, a game of cards. Eat and Relax, with family, friends or the quiet solitude of rippling water and your fishing pole. A warm breeze, and sunny days, fluffy white clouds, a carnival, a circus. Take a sail off the coast of Maine, look at children playing by a stream in England. Lella walking on the beach leaving footprints in the sand reminds us this season too shall pass.
But with the works of Boubat, Belzeaux, Helen Levitt, Stanko Abadzic, Brassai, Eisenstaedt, Cartier-Bresson, Josef Ehm, Julia Margaret Cameron among others, even the anonymous bear witness with their cameras and the moment will last forever.
